Float Your Matcha Boat
The Floated Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte
I am not a fan of overly sweetened drinks. I am a fan of iced drinks though, and with the recent fan club matcha has formed I thought to do an iced strawberry matcha latte. Everyone enjoys them, but no one talks about the hidden costs of chemicals and pesticides in those strawberries for a moment of enjoyment. What are the costs? I don’t really want to find out or have my guests be test subjects, but I do know one conventional strawberry has residue of at least one pesticide and 8-10 different chemicals! Mine are done with organic strawberries so one doesn’t have to worry so much.
I roast the organic strawberries on an open flame and then simmer with not very much sugar to create a thick sauce. I don’t sweeten the matcha at anytime. I use a clean oat milk by Minor Figures, not sweetened. When I put one together to test I thought, good strawberry flavor, I could taste the matcha, but I thought just a touch more sweeet would merge the flavors together well. That’s when the float idea happened.
I was standing right next to my soft serve machine filled with Indonesian Bourbon Vanilla Soft Serve, and plopped on a dollop, and there is was. The fully realized product. Come visit and try one at my Palm Desert location, where Chef Tanya’s Kreamery lives with other cool tasty treats.

This sounds phenomenal! It would make a good matcha strawberry tonic as well if you add some tonic water instead of soft serve
Omg, yummmmmm! That looks delish!
